Engagement Portal
The El Paso County Hospital District (EPCHD) requested a secure website that would allow employees across their system to reserve event tickets and purchase swag. This engagement portal needed to easily manage events, branded merchandise, registrations and other tasks in one place. The EPCHD network is vast – including University Medical Center of El Paso, El Paso Children’s Hospital, and El Paso Health.
The portal needed to be able to serve all of these employees and help administrators manage each interaction. They also wanted the option to expand on features at a later date. A custom application checked all the boxes for this project allowing us to program a system that met all of their requirements and much more.
Secure Access
The engagement portal is accessible to EPCHD staff only. Admins will share the link or code for a specific event or item for sale.
Employees are required to provide their ID and HRA password to proceed. Once accessed, they are able to view details for each event or merch.
If it’s an item for sale, employees can set their options for payment then schedule a pick up location with a confirmation code. Upon pick up, employees will present their confirmation number or QR code. The administrator will enter the number or scan the code to retrieve the order details.
Engagement Portal Admin
Designated administrators will be able to access the interface via a password protected URL. Once authenticated, admins will be able to create and set parameters for events and merchandise.
They can also download reports, submit forms on behalf of employees, send reminders for pick ups, look up orders, and document who has picked up their items. For item sales, admins can enable payroll deduction for employees as a form of payment. If it’s an event, they can generate a QR code that can be used as a digital ticket. The system also allows for admins to create a set number of free items or tickets with the option for employees to purchase more.
The engagement portal was programmed to be responsive, so it’s accessible via any device. This is beneficial for employees and admins who are constantly on-the-go!
